We had to get up early on April 10th. We were expecting our taxi to bring us to Brussels Airport at 3:30 AM in the morning.

We had no problems checking in. I had plenty of time to check my mail on my smart phone:

We had a delay of about one hour for the following reasons:

1. There was a problem with one of the engines (we already wondered why one of the engines was on whilst the plane was at the gate)
2. One of the tires needed to be replaced (see photos below)
3. The jack that was placed under the plane to replace the tire couldn't be removed (some mechanical failure).

We had some extra delay due to the heavy wind in San Francisco, and we also took the slowest line at the customs, but we succeeded in driving to Napa Valley. We're staying at the Silverado Resort & Spa in an appartment that is huge and comfortable. In the meantime, we been able to catch up on some sleep. Today, we'll acclimitize, maybe do a tour to discover Napa (although the weather isn't that good overhere). I also need to do some more work on my presentations, and tomorrow, we start for real with the Open Source Think Tank.
